Survivors Of The Siege
May 25th, 2012 - May 25th, 2013- – Saitorr Ecwropri
Survivors of the Siege had been a successful squad on Daybreak Games' (formerly Sony Online Entertainment) MMO Clone Wars Adventures originally created not to gain popularity, but to set a good atmosphere for players to log into. The squad had been established on May 25th of 2012 by Co-founder and creator SaiTorr Ecwropri, and co-founder Zelqin Mortho. The squad's name is a reference to Bioware's SWTOR and had been chosen by SaiTorr Ecwropri, who at the time self-claimed to be obsessed with Old Republic Era Lore.
Co-founder Zelqin Mortho had been said to have started off the squad's success through recruiting. Quickly within the first months after being created, SotS had managed to gain more than 25 players from the official Clone Wars Adventures Forums, with this done it had created a very open and friendly atmosphere as most players knew each other or had seen eachother before. By early December of 2012, for the first time known SOTS had reached the maximum of 100 players in a squad at one time.
In the last quarter of the year 2012, Survivors Of The Siege had developed a pattern of at least one squad event each week. There had been a large variety of different squad events such as: house tours, mount racing, Dueling, Lightsaber Dueling, Card Assault Tournaments, and OPT Training. Overall Survivors Of The Siege had successfully held over 40 squad events.
In April of 2013, it was announced by SaiTorr that he would disband the squad on May 25th of 2013, the one year anniversary. SaiTorr's reasons were said to be he had become too distant from the squad due to other things in his life and felt that he could not further hold leadership without it crashing in the end. SaiTorr decided he would rather have an official end to this squad instead of watching it slowly die out. Now SaiTorr is focusing on the Survivors Of the Siege equivalent guild in Star Wars: The Old Republic.
On May 25th of 2013, SaiTorr Ecrwropri disbanded the squad at around 8:10pm Eastern, during a final squad event known as Survivor Day. This event took place at the 'The Hall of Survivors' formally known as 'Damaged Skirmisher Outpost', a Carlac Lot built by SaiTorr Ecwropri which pays tribute to most of the members who were in the squad.
About an hour after deletion, General Eggs created Strength Of Many. SOM quickly grew through the former members of SOTS. About 2 months later, there was an argument between generals (indentities concealed). 3 of the generals left to form "Ghosts' Rage" and to declare squad war on Strength Of Many. Surprisingly, the "war" had little to no effect on the squad. The squad had been ruled dead with the absence of General Eggs but there was always that glimmer of hope. Throughout all this, Stunner Dyrion had been organizing squad events every Friday. Because of this, there happened to be a wave of new members.
By November 9th, 2013, General Eggs had officially deleted Strength Of Many and the very next day, Survivors Reborn was created by Stunner Dyrion. The name was to symbolize "rebirth" of the Survivors Of The Siege legacy and that in-fact came with the new wave of members. Some of them considered Stunner to be the "Savior Of Survivors" but he thought it was overkill. Then, the devastating but necessary news of the deletion of Clone Wars Adventures was made. Survivors Reborn was then the most successful it's been since the "glory" days of Survivors Of The Siege.
